The alarm code at SJUC has changed.  If you are a key holder you will need the new code to enter the building.  Please contact the office between 9am-1pm (Mon to Thurs) to receive the new alarm code.  (902-860-4000)

Dedications ( $20 donation): Would you like to have the slides / service bulletins dedicated in memory of a loved one, or in celebration of an event (ie. baptism)…then contact the office to reserve a specific Sunday.  (902-860-4000 / tracey@sjucfr.ca)

SJUC Income Tax Receipts: The tax receipts for 2014 are now ready to be picked up.  The receipts are located on the table in the narthex.  If you have any questions about your receipt please contact Anna Taylor (902-407-2280).

SJUC MEN’S BREAKFAST: Please mark your calendar and set your alarm clock….our Men’s Breakfast will take place on Sat, Feb 7th at 8:30am.  Our guest speaker will be from the Search & Rescue of HRM.  Consider coming and bring a friend.  You are sure to enjoy a breakfast, an informative presentation and great fellowship with the men of our church community.

Backup Needed In The Sound Room – SJUC is in need of an additional person in the sound room.  We would like to have a second set of hands around the board and the projector.  Are you interested?  Please let Rev. New SJUC Planting Day Team: Three new members have joined the Planting Day Team: Richard Cobanli, Carolyn Haverstock and Jennifer Mallette.  A great big “THANK YOU!” to Grant Kerr, Connie Corkum and Rick Fullerton who served as members for the first term.  Rev. Matthew is continuing as a member with Laura-Jayne Hambly-Fournier and Jim Gunn as Co-Chairs. The new Team met this past week and has two more meetings scheduled before the end of February. The Team will report to the SJUC Council on January 26th and at the annual meeting on February 15th.  Its top priorities, at this point, are to support the Planting Day outcomes that are already getting underway or being considered and to have some type of “planting day” for the full congregation in the spring.

Wise Café (Worship, Food & Conversation for the 60+ population): Meeting Wed, Jan 28th from 2pm to 4pm at SJUC.  Topic of discussion – Loneliness…Adjusting to Loss.  (Worship and program with Grant Kerr).  For more details please contact Heather Kellerman at 902-860-2546 / hlk@eastlink.ca.

Wellness Programs (Open to all ages, Bedford / Sackville and surrounding areas).  Each of these programs run on a Wednesday from 2:00pm to 3:30pm and is provided at no cost but Capital Health does require that all participants register with the Community Health Team prior to each session.  To register call 902-460-6750 or online www.communityhealthteams.ca
