News for Our Shared Ministry – (Jun 24th to June 30th) 

  • 3rd Annual Fall River Canal Day Ecumenical Breakfast:  Monday July 2nd at 8am-10am, cost is $2 per person.  Heidi Carr has placed a signup sheet on the bulletin board at SJUC asking for people to donate eggs.  They need a total of 20 dozen eggs.  Also they are looking for volunteers to help on July 2nd, if you’re interested or for more information please contact Heidi at 860-1834.
  • Strawberry Festival: Come out for a tasty treat on July 7th from 4:30pm to 6:30pm.

Adults $12  —  Children 5yrs-12yrs $5  —  Children under 5yrs eat free

Menu:  Baked Ham, Potato Salad, Veggies, Rolls, Strawberry shortcake & Beverages   (Takeout available)

  •  Choir Practices will break for the summer!!  SJUC United Voices will resume on Sept 5th @ 7pm;   WUC Choir will resume on Sept 13th @ 6:45pm
  • Sandra Chard (Spiritual Oversight Committee) would like to send out a THANK YOU to all who signed up to read scriptures, be greeters, prepare Prayers of the People and make coffee.  We will be looking forward to your assistance again in the fall, have a safe summer.
  • Beacon House is in need of a volunteer auditor. This person should have knowledge of year-end accounting procedures and accounting software and will receive training from the present auditor. If you think you could fill this position, please contact Peter Landry, Chair of the Board, at  Maybe you know someone who would be interested?
  • Sorting Volunteers needed at Beacon House – Recently, Beacon House began opening on Monday nights from 6:00 to 9:00 for sorting donations only. They are now in need of more volunteers who can come in on Monday evenings, whether it be once a month, once a week, or even a couple of hours on the Monday night you are available. If you can volunteer for this position, please contact Joan Potter, Assistant Manager, at or call 864-0547. Beacon House is a great place for high school students to do volunteer work in preparation for university and scholarship applications!
