Collection for Bryony House:  The UCW have chosen to collect new items for Bryony House.  It is a charity that provides a safe shelter and support services for women and families impacted by intimate partner violence and abuse.  A service that we all wish didn’t have to exist but recognize its vital importance within our community.  They have requested bed sheets, female undergarments, nightgowns, house coats, feminine hygiene products, new children’s items (clothes, diapers, baby gear, etc. – except for toys).  Items can be left in the box in the front hall, and will be delivered to Bryony House on a continuous basis before Christmas. Thank you for your continued generosity.

Out of the Cold:  The committee would like to thank the congregation for their support in this project. The coats and outerwear were delivered today to a very grateful Shelter administrator.  The administrator said the #1 item on their wish list is hand warmers for the guests to put in their mitts and boots.  If anyone would like to purchase them feel free to place them in the bins with the clothing. As well they make bag lunches for the guests before they leave in the a.m. and would welcome juice packs and granola bars. I will bring a small wicker basket and leave it by the bins for donations.  We will be delivering meals to the shelter on Dec 6 between 11-12 am. If people need items picked up pls call Karen Lewis at 860-1878. If not, meals may be dropped off at Karen’ house at 27 Karen Ave or Linda and Phillip Cox at 31 Karen Ave. Thanks to everyone who have supported this project, they are truly grat
