Due to the new Halifax area “Circuit Breaker,” worship will need to move online for at least the next couple of weeks. This Sunday, April 25th, a recorded worship service will be available for viewing online on our Facebook page and website around 10 am. Details for future services and upcoming opportunities for service and learning will be available next Friday.

We know that the new restrictions are discouraging for some, and the rising number of COVID cases is worrying for all. However, we are committed to “staying the blazes home” for the sake of our families and our communities. We Nova Scotians know how to do this. We’ve done it before and we can do it again!

Although we are not allowed to gather inside or travel unnecessarily, we are encouraged to get outside and enjoy the beauty of God’s creation. Time spent outdoors is good for our physical, mental and spiritual health.

We can also stay connected through phone calls and social media. Set aside some time every day to reach out to someone, just to chat. It could be a friend, neighbour or family member you see often, or it could be someone that you haven’t seen in a while. Also, please feel free to reach out to your church family and we’ll connect you with someone to talk to: revsally@sjucfr.ca.

And finally, wherever we find ourselves in the next month, God is there with us! Please keep in your prayers: the students, staff, teachers and administrators at our area schools; Dr. Strang and his Public Health team.
