WUC – Memorial Christmas Tree: all ornament money & completed order forms must be turned into WUC no later than Sun, Dec 14th.

Backup Needed In The Sound Room – Due to Hal’s changing work schedule, SJUC is in need of an additional person in the sound room.  Owen is graciously continuing to make sure the beat goes on, but it would be nice to have a second set of hands around the board and the projector.  Are you interested?  Please let Rev. Out-of-the-Cold Shelter:  CiA will be delivering food, meals and clothing donations to the shelter on Dec 12th.  If you’d like to help again this year with prepared meals remember to package the meals in large ziploc bags as it is easier at the shelter for storage in their fridge / freezer.  You can drop your items off to Karen Lewis (27 Karen Ave / 902-860-1878) or Linda Cox (32 Karen Ave / 902-861-2880).  Or Karen & Linda would be happy to pick up your items, just give them a call.  Thanks for your generous contributions to this program.

WUC Christmas Pageant: Calling All Animals!!! Anyone with an animal costume big or small or even an animal hat that are willing to lend it for this year’s pageant are asked to contact Mona at mcox23@eastlink.ca or 902-861-4997 ASAP.  This year’s pageant is in the final draft but can still be customized.  Pageant date is Sun Dec 21st during our 9:30am service…mark your calendars!!!

Released But Never Lost: A Christmas Cantata of Hope: Sun. Dec 7th – 7pm at SJUC.  Performed by singers and musicians from Bedford and St. John’s United Churches and beyond!  Composed and conducted by Rick Gunn, this Cantata blends Matthew’s and Luke’s nativity stories with stories of youth homelessness and the work of Phoenix.

WiseCafé New Year’s Eve Celebration: Dec 31st, 5:30pm-8:30pm (SJUC) This celebration is open to community members 60+ as well as a guest. If this guest happens to be an adult who doesn’t quite fit the 60+ range, bring them along anyway.  What’s important to note is the timing: we start with worship at 5:30pm and we finish

with watching the countdown live-streamed from London, England at 8pm. You will be back home safely or onto the next party, before most people are even going out.  Worship is followed by potluck (dessert provided) and games. No need to be ho
